We're here to help.

Where would I use my Forno De Pizza?
Outside: patio, deck, by the pool, tailgating, on a roof top, or in a commercial kitchen under a hood.
Can I take it with me if I move houses?
Yes, this oven will last generations and can transported to wherever your new home. All of the ovens have interchangeable components, so if you want to have a built-in oven in the new house and had a portable oven, just add the stainless flange to the new cabinets and install the oven. And, if you have a built-in oven and cannot install it in the new home, just use a Forno de Pizza cart- very simple.
Why is it smaller than regular ovens?
Forno de Pizza’s cooking surface area is 29”x30”, almost 900 sq in. You can have a fire in the back and still bake three 12-inch pizzas at a time. Smaller oven heats up faster, uses less fuel (wood and gas), and occupies less space. Bigger ovens will take longer to heat up,  more fuel, occupies more space, and cannot have the flexibility of being portable and built in.
Why is it dual-fuel?
The convenience of the gas burner will make starting the oven easy and convenient, and a continuous heat during your most needed times when the wood is either wet or burned out. Wood is necessary to heat the hearth as the coals conducts heat to the hearth and gives the oven heat and an aromatic wood taste/smell. Two sources of heat simultaneously is definitely better than just one.
Is it easy to operate?
Yes, turn the pilot on the gas burner, control your heat then place smaller pieces of wood on the burner and let the fire turn the wood into coals then turn the gas down and move the fire to the middle of the oven.
What other things can I cook in the oven?
Using a skillet you can sauté vegetables, or fry an egg, use a grill rack and grill vegetables or your favorite cut of meat or chicken, smoke ribs, fish, chicken, or bake some bread, roast coffee and make some soup.
Can I use the oven in the winter?
Yes, we recommend heating the oven slowly so thermal shock to the oven refractory material is minimized maintaining the integrity of the oven.
I never use a wood-fired oven, is there any support to help me?
Yes, there is a 24 hour phone line available for questions regarding the operation of the oven.
What is the warranty on the oven?
The oven has a warranty of 2 years, maintaining the oven properly will make it last for generations to come.
How does the oven arrive at my residence?
Depending on your location and place of purchase the oven will either come via truck/lift gate delivery in a cardboard box, ready to assembled or it can be delivered by your retailer.
Where do you make the fire in the oven?
Just light up the convenient gas burner, place small logs directly to burner , once wood has ignited move it with the back of the brush to center of oven- add wood and let it burn to some ambers.
Why doesn't the oven have a chimney?
For better heat retention and to achieve the portability of Forno de Pizza’s design, a chimney is not necessary. All other ovens that have a chimney, smoke still comes out the front of the door. The oven’s shape and use of its gas burner generates a constant heat burning off any smoke. A chimney/exhaust is needed if the oven is installed indoors (making sure the chimney complies with the regulatory building codes in your area).
Where do I bake the pizza?
After pushing the coals to the back of the oven with the back of brush, brush center of oven and slide pizza directly to center of the oven.
How hot does the oven get?
Different parts of the oven will be different temperatures. For instance: the temperature on top of the oven, where the flames are should be around 900 degrees (because it’s a fire); while the floor of the oven might be at 600 degrees.
How do you know how hot the oven is?
An Infra-red thermometer is the easiest and most accurate way of taking temperature in the oven’s various locations.
Can I use the oven indoors?
In a commercial, like a restaurant kitchen, where the exhaust hood is rated to be used with a grill, the oven can definitely be used.
Otherwise , forno de Pizza should only be used outdoors. Smoke and carbon monoxide will definitely be produce during operation of the oven.
Can I cook with just gas?
Yes, depending what types of food you’re cooking. In order to have the most even heat on hearth and inside oven, wood is needed to provide conduction of heat to and from the hearth.
Can I build it in my existing outdoor kitchen?
Absolutely, depending on the materials used on your outdoor kitchen Forno de Pizza can help you decide on retrofitting the oven to your outdoor kitchen specs.
Is there a special wood to use in the oven?
Definitely hard woods: oak, maple, hickory, apple and cherry preferably oak is the best.
How hot does the oven have to be to bake the pizzas?
Pizzas can be baked in less than 2 minutes if hearth temperature is between 625 to 650 degrees. Turn the pizza every 20 to 30 seconds.
Can I leave the oven outside?
Yes, in order to maintain integrity and a longer lasting oven keeping it covered and protected from the elements will increase the life and aesthetics of your oven.
Do I have to use the outdoor cover?
No, but it will definitely increase the longevity of your oven.
Is it normal to have cracks in the oven?
Yes, cracks are normal. Every oven cracks, with time cracks will appear but they shouldn’t affect the oven’s performance or break the oven apart.
